This time of year certain things (e.g. work) have a way of winding down, and people tend to take time off to spend with family and friends. With all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. in town, many families don’t need their nannies to help out with the children. So what is a nanny to do? One nanny in Orange County had a few ideas about how to be helpful to her family this holiday season:
- Addressing holiday cards
- Gift wrapping
- Packing and shipping gifts
- Holiday baking
- And last, but not least, offering to brave the mall!!!
The above are just a few suggestions she had in lieu of caring for the children while they are occupied with all of the family and friends that are in from out of town. It’s also a great way for families that spend all year working and away from their children, to make some more quality time with them… I can think of no better gift for a family to receive, time with their loved ones!
Happy Holidays!
